Every year, Samaritan Village holds a family-friendly event to raise awareness in our community. Our 5th Annual Bowl-A-Thon is going online...That's right, we're going virtual to #StrikeOutTrafficking and we need your help to "champion" Samaritan Village to your family, friends, neighbors and others in your network.
Why is NOW such a critical time to raise awareness and funds?
Traffickers thrive on desperation in communities already suffering from unemployment, poverty, lack of affordable housing, and from addiction. With unemployment growing every day in Central Florida, we know that traffickers are luring vulnerable women and youth with lies of love, security, and prosperity -- capitalizing on their economic uncertainties due to COVID-19.
We want to beat traffickers at their own game.
Just as traffickers do not slow down for COVID-19, neither do we!
In this unprecedented time, we see the value in uniting as a community to continue our annual Bowl-A-Thon tradition and rally support to strike out sex trafficking in Central Florida. It is imperative that we stay ahead of the traffickers and continue to ensure survivors receive necessary care!
